Job Overview:

The MHW will assist in carrying out the behavioral plan of care such as diversional activities while keeping the patient's safety at the forefront.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA Degree in a psychology or related field or a minimum of 5 years of recent behavioral health experience is required

  • Preferred:

  • A minimum of one year of experience, training, or education in the field of treatment is preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Evenings

Essential Functions:

  • In this role, you will work under the direction of the RN to provide care for the patients on the unit

  • Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to; taking vital signs, EKG, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, i, e,

  • Bathing, mouth care, and skin care

  • In addition to CCT responsibilities, the Mental Health Associate MHA will provide emotional support to the behavioral patients
