Job Title : Industrial Engineering Director

This role is responsible for supply strategy development, planning, and deployment within the region. The role will act as a catalyst to change, challenging the status quo to ensure that our network remains competitive (e.g. on cost development and volume allocation). This role drives Value Leadership (VLiC) in the network and supports the Regional CAB priorities to support the businesses objectives. This role will lead the Supply perspective through PMR as a core team member and enabling our quality growth ambitions.



  • Recruit, educate and develop a diverse group of high caliber associates

  • Ensure a robust talent pipeline including team succession plans

  • Identify and close competency skill gaps in the IE community

  • Champion effectiveness and functional competency building in the industrial engineering teams

  • Motivate associates through skills development and responsibility in a professional environment

  • Manage, encourage, and reward appropriate risk taking and innovative thinking

  • Create a winning environment through high levels of associate engagement


  • Member of the MAKE Leadership team

  • Develop and deploy 2 to 5-year segment strategies and capacity planning across the network

  • Manage the development and delivery of a strategic CAB that supports the agreed 3-year activity set and supply strategies

  • Manages VLiC pipeline sufficiency

  • Collaborate with Supply, Engineering, R&D and Marketing Directors

  • Drive measurements, standards, and reporting to foster continuous improvement environment


  • Maximize asset utilization through capacity planning

  • Ensure effective project management skills within team

  • Drive innovation into our business solutions


  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the supply community (projects and activities)

  • Organize/manage teams to meet objectives of the Strategic Cells and the Mars Wrigley NA CAB

  • Developing, fostering and sustaining a winning environment which promotes trust and confidence within a High Performance team structure

  • Manage and facilitate cross-functional teamwork

  • Role model 5 Principles and GLM

  • Actively participate in the director level activities



  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (or similar); advanced degree in Engineering or MBA preferred

Knowledge & Experience

  • 10 - 15 years experience in applicable technical business position in food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry

  • Advanced working knowledge of consumer goods, operations & engineering

  • Working knowledge of business financials & performance and marketing

  • Supply chain management

  • Activity and change management processes

  • Advanced knowledge of corporate capital management

  • Managing projects and project teams

  • Multi-unit, segment and/or site experience

  • Ability to travel up to 30%
