ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Director, Audible on Amazon Marketing – Emerging Marketplaces, you will define, launch and scale Audible’s presence on Amazon surfaces across emerging Amazon marketplaces. In addition to identifying high potential Audiobook markets, you will define and operationalize a standardized product/marketing playbook to efficiently launch and scale Audible’s service across these markets. You'll be responsible for not only strategically launching Audible’s services across new high potential markets but also ensuring continued success/growth in these markets. In addition to partnering with the global and local teams to define the customer acquisition and revenue growth strategy, you'll be responsible for building and hiring a high performance centralized marketing team to efficiently implement the strategy. You'll be responsible for shaping Audible’s offering on Amazon in terms of content offering, pricing and product experience by partnering with various local and global Audible and Amazon teams. In addition to leading data driven deep dives and return on investment(ROI) analysis to provide strategic marketing or product recommendations, you'll also be responsible for operational planning, goal setting, metrics tracking and reporting. Lastly, as a team leader, you'll manage, develop and mentor a team of junior and senior marketing managers.

As a Director, Audible on Amazon Marketing-Emerging Marketplaces you will...

  • Partner with local and global Audible and Amazon teams to identify high potential markets for Audible audiobooks on Amazon surfaces

  • Define Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and develop standardized marketing/product playbook to efficiently launch Audible's offerings across emerging Amazon markets

  • Partner with local Amazon books, Audible content and international expansion teams to define content offering and pricing strategy for Audible audiobooks on Amazon surfaces

  • Partner with global Audible teams to define strategy for driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth

  • Oversee execution of marketing initiatives to drive implementation of strategy

  • Establish strategic relationships with local and global Amazon teams to maximize Audible’s visibility across Amazon surfaces including Email, Site placements, Amazon advertisements, Associate touch-points, etc.

  • Identify operational best practices

  • Leverage automation to centralize and efficiently scale marketing efforts across multiple emerging Amazon marketplaces

  • Hire and build a centralized marketing team to efficiently drive execution of marketing activities

  • Partner with product and technology teams to provide requirements for new product and feature launches

  • Lead localization efforts including implementing site changes, obtaining stakeholder sign-offs, testing and defect resolution

  • Lead cost benefit/return on investment (ROI) analysis and deep-dives to provide strategic marketing/product recommendations and proactively identify and solve complex business problems

  • Own operational planning, goal setting, and budget allocation/administration

  • Monitor marketing metrics, goals, and KPIs to measure business performance

  • Manage, mentor and develop team of junior and senior marketing managers

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in Marketing, in online and/or B2B marketing

  • Experience in setting up and scaling new marketplaces to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth

  • Experience identifying customer insights and developing strategic input briefs

  • Experience working with marketing tools including email, web analytics, and CRM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Amazon and/or E-commerce marketing experience

  • Experience in the entertainment or media businesses

  • Experience working directly with technical teams to build and launch new marketing products

  • MBA

  • Excellent project management and team collaboration skills.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – ability to use data to develop and measure marketing programs.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for getting the right things done

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others

  • Ability to build and manage high performing teams
