As a Direct of Account Management, you will effectively manage six direct reports responsible for the daily medical benefits, operational needs, and clinical activity of one of UnitedHealthcare’s largest customers. To perform this role, you will supervise a team of four field account managers, pinpoint challenges, identify and modify for process improvements.

If you reside in the Tri-State Area ( New York, New Jersey, Connecticut), you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build an Elite Team of Field Account Managers

  • As a Director of Account Management, you will be responsible for leading a team of Field Account Managers to support execution of the client’s daily activities

  • Execution of customer satisfaction and retention

  • Work directly with Strategic Account Executives, Project Manager, and Operation team to ensure your team is executing on tactical needs of the account

  • Recruit, hire, and train best in class Field Account Managers

  • Solid influence, collaboration and listening skills

  • Proven ability to navigate an often ambiguous and complex organization to resolve customer issues

  • Collaborate with and advise of customer success and enablement

  • Provide regular business updates to internal stakeholders

  • Superior verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Support and present at member meetings in person and virtual

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of medical benefits understanding and client/member service experience

  • Reside in the tristate area

Preferred Qualification:

  • Understanding of UMR processes and systems

Connecticut, New Jersey or New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $195,000 annually. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
