​​Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)Location: New Jersey 07470Job Type: Per DiemPosition Overview:Priority Group Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will collaborate with Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients.Responsibilities:1. Therapy Implementation:a) Implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of Occupational Therapists.b) Conducting therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' functional abilities.2. Patient Assistance and Support:a) Assisting patients in performing prescribed therapy exercises and activities.b) Using adaptive equipment and techniques to support patients' independence in daily activities.3. Progress Monitoring and Documentation:a) Monitoring patients' responses to therapy and reporting observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.b) Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.3. Patient Education and Communication:a) Providing instructions and guidance to patients and their families on therapy exercises and techniques.b) Collaborating with healthcare professionals and caregivers to ensure effective therapy delivery.Requirements:1. Valid New Jersey Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required2. Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including those set by the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Inspector General, Medicaid/Medicare, Corporate Compliance, PEOSHA, and Priority Group Services Policies and Procedures.3. Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.5. Excellent communication and organizational abilities.6. Proficiency in implementing occupational therapy techniques and exercises.Preferred Qualifications:1. Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an occupational therapy environment.2. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.3.
