Position Summary:

Non-tenure track faculty position with primary responsibilities in research in the space sciences and solar-terrestrial physics.

Essential Functions:

Professional Research, which includes: 1) Work conducted to create and add to knowledge in a field, including the advancement of new theories and principles, 2) Expansion and interpretation of existing ideas, theories, and principles, 3) Improvement and application of knowledge, especially in new settings. Open dissemination and professional peer review are essential features of research productivity. This position will be to utilize ground and space-borne data, in conjunction with high resolution numerical modeling, to better understand plasma physics in the Earth's magnetosphere.

Prerequisite Qualifications:

Ph.D. in space sciences or closely related field.
