American Express Savings is an online bank that offers savings products to consumers in the form of High Yield Savings Accounts, Certificates of Deposit (CDs) and IRA Savings Plans. The business has rapidly grown to over $60 billion in deposits and is a critical component of American Express’ ambition to back the diverse needs of our customers and to maintain stable, diversified funding for our businesses.
Enterprise Digital Analytics (EDA) team creates central, scalable marketing solutions and analytics capabilities to accelerate growth in many core business areas including Digital Acquisitions. This role is in the Enterprise Digital Demand Generation Team (part of Enterprise Digital and Analytics) and is responsible for driving positive value for customers, partners and shareholders through best-in-class analytics for Savings Acquisitions via Digital Channels.
This role requires solid understanding of digital data, analytics/data science, and optimization, forecasting and Test and Learn. In this team, you will have the opportunity to provide critical analytics that drive the strategy behind transformational initiatives for American Express such as:
Guiding the data strategy through statistical analysis, decision support logic and data techniques.
Optimize our digital marketing strategies for Amex Savings across channels with specific focus on acquisition investment efficiency and quality
Engage and develop relationships with cross-functional senior leadership including, Marketing, Technologies, and Finance to understand priorities and how we can be a thought partner
Prepare executive presentations to showcase critical findings and plans
Continually stay apprised of industry trends in online savings and marketing
Strong ability to drive results; self-starter
A passion for working with data and solving complex business problems
Expertise in application of analytics (applied statistics/quantitative methods) for solving business problems.
Programming experience in database (SAS and SQL), dynamic/scripting (Python and R), or big data (Hadoop: Hive, Pig, Java) languages preferred. Hands-on experience with digital data and web analytics is a plus.
Proven ability to analyze large and unstructured data sets.
Ability to multi-task, operate effectively under changing conditions and prioritize initiatives based on business objectives.
Good and effective communication skills
Educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, economics, statistics, applied disciplines)
