RBC Capital Markets seeks a Vice President, Global Research in New York, NY to support the global research department with researching and preparing reports for biotechnology companies. Lead in the development and modeling of company specific research and prepare technical reports on the pharmacology of drugs and vaccines. Conduct biochemical research to assess the clinical and regulatory success of drugs. Research mutations that may cause human diseases and their impact on therapeutic development. Analyze genetic engineering approaches including gene-therapy, gene-editing, cell therapy, mRNA and RNA to determine their impact on genetically-linked diseases. Review and assess clinical results and evaluate chemical and clinical effects.Requirements: PhD in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field plus two years of drug development experience identifying Key Opinion Leaders/physicians, searching, identifying, and comprehending scientific and medical literature, and reviewing scientific literature and preclinical findings associated with the protein structure function. 2 years of experience understanding genetic mutations and their impact on the biological functionality of proteins, experience with genetic medicines including gene-therapy, gene-editing, cell therapy, mRNA and RNA silencing experience with pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamics data and safety data.
