Citigroup US CCB Cash & Trade Business Manager in New York, New York

This role is responsible for providing Strategic Planning and Business Management support for the Cash & Trade business. It takes leadership of all strategic planning activities, management reporting, communication, cross product analysis and trend monitoring. The right candidate will drive strategic business initiatives, including market analysis, strategic planning, and business case development, utilizing skill sets in quantitative and qualitative research, insights, and ultimately making recommendations to help drive business forward. This role will be responsible for driving projects from end to end.

The ideal candidate will have the acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously mixing long term projects with the urgency of immediate demands on the business. He or she must also have the demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as a liaison between the Business Head and other constituencies, both internal and external.

This individual must exhibit the skills to collaborate with others and achieve actionable results, the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships, and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization. This role supports the Cash & Trade Leadership team, as well as the broader Sales & Digital Platform organization. The individual will have the opportunity to work with the CCB Segment Heads, Strategic Planning & Data Analytics Team, CCB peers, TTS and functional partners in Finance, Operations/Client Delivery, and Compliance. Risk, Legal, HR and Global Product Partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning : Lead strategy development for the US CCB Cash & Trade Business and work closely with the Coverage Segments & TTS Product/Onboarding Partners to support successful strategy execution. Develop a clear articulation of Cash & Trade’s vision, and the role it plays in the CCB, TTS and broader ICG strategy. Create materials for key internal audiences, such as CCB’s Leadership team. Lead initiatives and actions to identify new opportunities, as well as assess and reduce key emerging or existing risks to the strategic plan.

  • P&L Management – Work with Finance, Strategic Planning & Data Analytics, Sales and Product teams to review and understand revenue results and forecasting. Maintain a firm grasp on the business and client drivers, the associated Plan targets, and a prospective view of future opportunities/risks along with the actions needed to achieve/mitigate them and execute on strategic initiatives.

  • Data Insights & Management/Executive Level Reporting – Analyze & track portfolio revenue results and sales momentum, as well as progress made on Must Win Battles and Key Growth Enabler Initiatives. Leverage data to drive opportunities through meaningful insights. Create presentation materials / senior-level talking points for reporting & communication purposes. Coordinate and prepare content (i.e. financials, strategy, scorecard, etc.) for monthly / quarterly business unit reviews and ensuring that critical business topics are highlighted and discussed.

  • Analyst Program Lead – Coordinate & provide support of the CCB Analyst Program Cash & Trade Track by working with HR partners, recruiting and other key stakeholders. Serve as coach and mentor for analysts and provide ongoing feedback and support to analysts.

  • Communication - Drive all aspects of communication within and across the various lines of business. Plan leadership meetings, national sales calls, Town Hall style meetings, client events, etc.

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills, ability to articulate clearly to senior stakeholders

  • Exceptional analytical inquisitiveness and problem-solving skills (proficient in Microsoft Excel)

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational and presentation skills (proficient in PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to think strategically, synthesize information, prioritize business goals, and drive results

  • Familiarity with business systems such as Salesforce / CRMs, BI tools, etc. preferred

  • Ability to drive change within the business by working effectively across a wide range of stakeholders

  • Create a strong network of relationships among peers and internal partners

  • Self-starting with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across the CCB, ICG and Citi-wide organization

  • Commercial Banking and/or Cash & Trade experience is preferred

  • 4 - 7 years of relevant experience preferred

  • Bachelor degree required
