Description

  • Performsnon-technical general building maintenance, light custodial and minorrepair duties. Works under close supervision.

  • Performsgeneral labor work as assigned including loading, unloading and movingmaterials.

  • Runserrands to support projects.

  • Maintainslighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacingbulbs and lamps. Maintains grounds of facility or property performing suchtasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal.

  • Patrolsgrounds, common areas and parking facilities. Identifies and reportsmaintenance hazards or other property condition concerns.

  • Performshousekeeping functions and maintains the professional appearances of theproperty, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas. Paints andpatches drywall. Performs other minor repairs under supervision.

  • Facilitatesoffice access and office moves by providing moving crates, assemblingfurniture, office keys, nameplates, etc.

  • Maintainskey inventory.

  • Respondsquickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance asneeded.

  • Preparesmeetings and conference rooms, arranging tables and chairs as requested.

  • Mayset up audio/visual equipment, flip charts and TV’s within conferencerooms and pick up when completed.

  • Performsother duties as assigned.

  • Noformal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

Qualifications

  • HighSchool Diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Mayrequire valid driver's license.

  • Abilityto comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memosand ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to writeroutine reports and correspondence.

  • Abilityto respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers,and/or supervisor.

  • Abilityto calculate simple figures such as percentages. Ability to understand andcarry out general instructions in standard situations.

  • Abilityto solve problems in standard situations.

  • Requiresbasic analytical skills. Uses personal computer and / or PDA for workorder system, email, ESS and training.

  • Basicskills with Microsoft Office Outlook.

  • Physicalrequirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs /ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Decisionsmade with general understanding of procedures and company policies toachieve set results and deadlines.

  • Errorsin judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
