The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The College of Dental Medicine is seeking a Technician B to join our team in a full-time position to work within the Division of Periodontics, reporting to Dr. Yiping Han, Professor of Microbial Sciences. Technician B will be investigating host-pathogen interactions in a leading laboratory.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Organization of the lab
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Hands-on experimentation to study host-pathogen interactions in human diseases
  • Participation in literature study and manuscript writing
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or physics or a completed animal husbandry program or equivalent in education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's degree with at least two years of wet lab research experience.
  • Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques.
  • One year of related experience.

Other Requirements

  • Prior wet-lab experience.
  • Demonstrate drive, excellent scientific vigor, critical thinking, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
