Duration 6 monthsWe have a need for a Dental Assistant in our Prosthodontics department. The schedule for this position is Mon.-Fri. (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm or 10-6)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

We are in need of a Dental Assistant for our Oral Surgery Department.

Summary job description:

Provide oral surgical assistance to dental residents and students. Assist in the administration of IV sedation and patient monitoring during surgical procedures. Perform tests; assist with preparing dental castings, dispensing medications and instructions, and performing minor dental and surgical procedures; ensure safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals or hazardous materials.

Required Experience:

2+ years of related experience. Graduate of a Dental Assistant Training Program, oral surgery experience and 1-2 years of related experience including oral surgery experience with IV sedation/general anesthesia.

Hours/Shift:

35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Shift could be from 8am-4pm or 9-5pm

Start Date:As soon as possible once medically cleared.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Certification as a Dental Assistant.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of a Dental Assistant Training Program or 1-2 years of related experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of four-handed chairside dental techniques and dental lab equipment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to operate standard office equipment
