Staff Engineer positions available at WarnerMedia Services, LLC in New York, NY. Develop core functionality and components for application service in support of various content platforms by starting with business needs and objectives, creating functional and technical specifications. Enhance existing systems and by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Work with internal and external developers to ensure code standards and best practices are followed for development of applications. Review emerging technologies and evaluate potential uses and develop highly scalable application using these technologies. Implement Agile Methodology in the whole span of software design and development phase. Responsible for developing prototypes and perform complex application coding & programming. Gather requirements from existing systems, analyze the requirements and prepare detailed specification from which programs are developed and coded. Support evaluation and implementation of 3rd party software packages for use by the core client groups, including automation packages and outside vendor-based applications. Hybrid work schedule.REQUIREMENTS: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field, and at least 8 years of experience in the job offered or at least 8 years of experience in software development. Stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience in the following: Core Java & J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, JPA & Hibernate; MicroServices, RESTful & SOAP webservices; GIT, Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins, Splunk; HTML, Java Script, CSS,Angular JS, JQuery, Spring MVC and other tag libraries; Oracle, MySQL, & NoSQL (Mongo database); and Apache Tomcat, JBOSS EAP 6.x, Web Sphere. Must also have at least 3 years of experience in the following: play leading role on the team to design and develop major functional changes to existing software systems, or new ones; and experience in developing solutions for content scheduling, asset management, storage, or distribution using custom or packaged platforms for media supply chain.We are offering a salary range of $169,229 per year to $183,700 per year, depending upon qualifications.
