Duties include: draw upon information architecture, multi-step flows, and motion to create holistic interactions; deliver consistent, polished, and balanced layouts, through typography, color, and visual hierarchy; use prototypes to identify appropriate solutions through testing; analyze qualitative research observations and behavioral data to generate insights into customer behavior and discovery of user needs (new business opportunities); facilitate idea generation based on insights, individually and among partners; adapt design proposals to different platforms, while accounting for common interaction patterns on Android, iOS, iPadOS and desktop websites; adapt layouts to accommodate user-set preferences, such as text size on a device; provide specifications for access of products by accessible technologies, such as screen readers; create and maintain components within design software that can be reused by other designers; provide variations of design components that meet requirements of different operating systems; account for distinct states of a component, such as hover with a pointer device or tap on a touch device; discuss and generate ideas for new solutions to customer and business requirements; seek input from peers and senior designers on one’s design proposals; give peers critique and praise on their design proposals; and receive guidance on technical feasibility of design proposals from engineering partners.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent) degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Product Designer, Visual Designer, UI Designer, or a related/similar position.Special Skills:Experience therein to include 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience involving each of the following:(1)User research and user testing;(2)Interaction and visual design;(3)Wireframing and prototyping;(4)Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Origami, InVision, ProtoPie, Principle, or Framer; and(5)HTML or CSS.Telecommute role, may work remotely from anywhere in the US.Salary: $160,125.00 -$266,875.00 per year.
