Role Summary/Purpose:

Exciting opportunity to work at the Entertainment Group, consisting of NBC Network, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, USA, Syfy, Universal Kids & Syndication Studios. This role falls within the FP&A finance team supporting the Entertainment Group (a business unit within the Media Group).

The Senior Financial Analyst will report into the Senior Director of FP&A, and partner with Media Group HQ, as well as with peers across other Media Group businesses. Responsibilities include cash flow management during planning cycles, overseeing the capital process, managing key reporting for the business, and contributing to presentations and ad hoc analyses. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn all areas of the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Director with financial planning, estimating and reporting processes including: updating estimates, consolidating cash flow, managing corporate files and templates, and putting together financial variance commentary.

  • Assisting with quarter close process, including cash flow maintenance/mapping and reviewing the general ledger.

  • Oversee SAP reporting system (Business Planning & Consolidation), ensuring its setup for each pacing & estimate cycle. Have ownership over loading estimates and financial variance commentary into the system.

  • Responsible for supporting areas of the PL: Allocations, Oxygen OTA, and DEI, managing day-to-day support, tracking costs, updating projections.

  • Oversee capital process, setting up new capital projects and partnering with Controllership on Fixed Assets SOX Review.

  • Manage key reporting metrics and various other revenue reporting, including NBC Retrans / Ad Sales by Daypart and Late Night Digital Revenue reporting.

  • Contribute to presentations to NBCU Finance leadership & perform ad hoc analyses, providing insight into the KPIs and financial performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance

  • General ledger experience

  • Proficient with MS Office – particularly Excel & PowerPoint

  • Experience in SAP/BPC/Analysis for Excel

  • Willingness to work overtime and on weekends during busy cycles
