Description

We are looking for a talented Developer Advocate who is passionate about understanding and helping to improve the Software Builder Experience at Amazon. The ASBX Product Marketing Management Team is looking for a Developer Advocate who will dive deep into engaging with software builders across all of Amazon, understand their needs and pain points, and use this knowledge to help drive awareness and adoption of ASBX tools that help make Builder life at Amazon simpler, easier and less time consuming. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with Builders, creating compelling technical content, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute marketing strategies that resonate with our target audience. Your work will help to build the ASBX brand while simultaneously helping to drive behaviors that fulfill our goals in improving the Software Builder Experience at Amazon.

As an ASBX Developer Advocate you will use your deep technical expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and public speak abilities to create compelling content (from blog posts to playbooks to demos), educate internal customers, and gather feedback that will help to further our communications and adoption goals.

Key job responsibilities

You will be a representative of ASBX to our customers and, in turn, you will understand and represent their needs to ASBX product teams, particularly with regard to how to engage builders in getting the best out what our tools, products and initiatives have to offer them.

You will work to earn customer trust by identifying and anticipating customer challenges, providing opinionated, deeply technical guidance, and ensuring customer needs are communicated to the product team clearly and effectively.

You will identify information gaps, creating and delivering narrative-based content based on deep technical knowledge to educate, guide, and motivate customers including blog posts, presentations, workshops, and video content.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong understanding of software development technologies, frameworks, and tools.

  • Proven experience in developer advocacy, technical evangelism, or a related role.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, training, and engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly.

  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling technical content, such as blog posts, docs, and presentations.

  • Passion for engaging with developer communities and driving developer adoption of new technologies.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $277,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
