Job Duties: The Solutions Architect (multiple openings) at MPG Operations LLC in New York, New York will develop and assist in the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of our proprietary real-time trade capture software system. Develop and optimize large-scale software systems, interfaces, and tools that interact to improve trade capture productivity. Contribute toward the team's technical direction. Work closely with Business Analysts, Senior Managers and Portfolio Managers to design and build low latency high-frequency real-time trading system for their use. Assist in migrating from application bespoke user interface to a presentation that matches the look and feel of other applications within the firm. Coordinate with multiple technical teams, including providing support for debugging and troubleshooting issues and applications under highly demanding conditions. Onboard new hires to the team. Lead complex architecture requirements analysis to convert end user needs into technical solutions. Oversee development of key capabilities and performance requirements when developing system architectures. Communicate the design of the technical architecture clearly to other leaders within the organization. Develop complex data modeling and implements advanced project management processes. Act as the solution analyst for the data consistency and integrity of projects, including identifying and troubleshooting data movement. Salary: $175,000 - $250,000 per year. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 1 year of professional software engineering occupation, or related occupation, in the financial industry. Must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: (1) SQL databases including QDB, MS SQL Server, and Sybase; (2) production level development in C++ or Java; (3) Git and Jenkins; (4) build AWS integrated solutions; (5) agile development and devops; (6) Windows and Unix environments; and (7) design, implement and maintain software systems using message bus architecture.
