Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. For all these individuals, Project FIND is a critical resource, providing housing, meals, and programs that help individuals navigate the challenges of aging by encouraging community engagement and healthy living.Project FIND’s Older Adult Centers are dedicated site that provides a variety of meals, activities, and services to people over the age of 60. Job Summary:Committed to providing and coordinating comprehensive supportive services for the clients of our older adult centers. The Social Worker will provide assessment, service coordination, and counseling to older adult clients eligible for receiving case assistance services in the community.General Responsibilities:This position requires a passionate, hardworking, innovative and hands on person to provide quality services to our clients.Qualifications include:Required-Bachelor’s in Social Work or Gerontology and two years’ experience in casework or social services.-Possess case assistance experience.-Be knowledgeable about benefit and entitlement programs for older adults.-Ability to work independently and accomplish work responsibilities with minimum supervision.-Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet strict timelines.-Possesses flexibility, empathy, and compassion in working with the senior population.-Excellent problem solving, organizational, time management, verbal, and communication skills.Preferred-Bilingual in English and Spanish language.-Experience working with older adults.Schedule:Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm (35 hours per week).
