Paramount Social Media Producer, CBS Sports Soccer (REMOTE) in New York, New York

The CBS Sports Social Media team creates and distributes all content posted from CBS Sports, CBS Sports Network, and CBS Sports Digital's social media channels. In a sports media landscape that's cluttered with noise, we take pride in building creative concepts that cut through with our audience and represent the values of our brand. CBS Sports is expanding its team to continue to lead our coverage of soccer on social media. The ideal candidate will be fluent in the language of North American soccer with an understanding of European soccer as well. Further, they will understand best practices of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and X as demonstrated by their portfolio of work. They must understand the most effective strategies on these platforms and be equipped to create content (i.e. videos, graphics) that best play to each platforms audience.

The candidate will work within CBS Sports soccer social team to run their social media accounts. They must have the proven ability to identify trending stories or impactful moments, format them for social platforms, and use them to engage our audiences. The Social Media producer will run point on all American soccer coverage at CBS Sports. In addition to covering the aforementioned soccer properties CBS own, they will be responsible for covering significant non-CBS matches from North American leagues and competitions (e.g. MLS, Leagues Cup, U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup etc.) and important breaking news in the soccer world.

Your Day-to-Day:

Post social content in real-time from CBS Sports studio and game broadcast feeds.

Curate and publish impactful social content.

Conceive original creative concepts in reaction to ongoing social conversation in football.

Create templated graphics using photoshop.

Be able to move the social conversation on through lateral thinking.

Manage and develop daily posts for CBS soccer accounts across Instagram, TikTok, and X.

Coordinate with CBS soccer talent to produce/post video to our social accounts.

Work with social designers and video editors to build editorial and promotional content from scratch.

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

You have

1-3 years relevant experience managing branded social media accounts

Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Media, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

Familiarity with and passion for soccer, especially North American soccer

Willingness to cover primetime soccer matches, often on nights and weekends

Ability to work under extremely fast turnaround times

A keen eye for detail

A positive, proactive approach towards deliverables and team collaboration

Exceptional writing ability and a strong understanding of English grammar

Strong communication and coordination skills: the ability to collaborate effectively with CBS soccer talent, social designers, and video editors.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $51,000.00 - 65,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
