EMPLOYER: Collibra Inc.TITLE: Senior Software Engineer LOCATION: New York, NY (option to work remotely from any location nationally)DUTIES: Responsible for developing high quality code and participating in testing and maintenance of code. Develop SaaS software and deploy into a cloud environment and apply pragmatic engineering approaches to deliver value to customers. Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Architecture, and other Engineers to help estimate work, design scalable and performant solutions that will delight customers, and produce high quality production-grade software. Participate in testing and maintenance of code. Implement scalable and fault tolerant applications using cloud-based platforms. Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack. Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the existing content supply portfolio of applications and services. Identify causes for software issues and provide technical solutions. EOEREQTS: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation. Must possess six (6) years of experience with all of the following: Developing SaaS applications using Java technologies, including Spring Boot, Hibernate; Building data streaming solutions utilizing event-driven architecture including Apache Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ; Building microservice RESTful APIs using CQRS, Saga architecture patterns; Utilizing data analysis and processing (SQL and Database Query Tuning); Developing fault tolerant and scalable systems; Implementing security practices in software development (OAuth2, JWT, or SSL/TLS); Writing SaaS software; DevOps practices and experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github, and Ansible; Utilizing SCRUM and Agile methodologies.
