Mott MacDonald Group Senior Project Manager - Project Management in New York, New York

An industry connected leader located in the Northeast is vital to our intended growth and further development of our team.Mott MacDonald uses the "Project Team" approach to efficiently manage and complete projects on time and within specified budgets. We are looking for a power transmission/distribution and generation business manager to join our team to support the execution of our projects and provide every client high-quality, cost-effective services in the timely and responsive manner that makes the difference for our clients.

Responsibilities:
You will be primarily responsible for delivering major energy projects in the Northeast with a focus in New York for energy developers, utilities and EPC contractors. Additionally, we anticipate you supporting the identification, development and planning and helping to position for major power transmission and generation projects. It is anticipated that you will bring an operational and project execution background with connections in the market.

  • Electric Transmission and Distribution
  • Renewable Generation - onshore and offshore

To be successful in this Senior Project Manager role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or project management
  • 10+ years' experience in in design and construction of energy transmission and/or generation, with a focus on project management for 3+ years
  • Strong project management, leadership, interpersonal, communication, documentation, and technical skills are required.
  • PE license preferred but not mandatory, dependent on related qualifications.
  • Possess sound judgment; highly developed management, organizational, interpersonal, presentation/training, oral and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work with multidisciplinary teams, deal with complex issues, and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret complex reports, recognize problems and define and evaluate solutions.
  • Experience with client interaction and ability to excel in a client-facing role.
  • Ability to travel, as per client requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Assisting with professional excellence activities across subject areas
  • Raising the profile of projects internally and externally
  • Network of industry connections supporting your visibility in the energy market
  • Developed management, organizational, interpersonal, presentation/training
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Resolve complex issues and maintain effective working relationships
  • Reside in the Northeast area or ability to relocate immediately

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
