Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Marketing Manager, Storytelling, AI at Work in New York, New York

Across the Work Trend Index ; the WorkLab digital publication , newsletter , and podcast ; and executive thought leadership at Tier 1 events, we aim to deliver a single, cohesive narrative that resonates with business leaders and helps bring the power of generative AI to every individual and organization.

We are looking for a world-class business and technology Senior Product Marketing Manager, Storytelling, AI at Work to join our future of work thought leadership and editorial team. Effective writing, business acumen, and technology experience are prerequisites, but the successful candidate will be a self-starter who can drive projects forward amid shifting priorities and diverse stakeholder perspectives—all while working at the speed of AI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business and technology writing for the Future of Work team.

  • Own the AI at Work/Copilot customer “beat,” partnering with customer experience leads to build a source of business leaders for owned articles, research reports, podcast episodes, and videos—capturing key learnings and insights and quickly converting them to impactful editorial content on a regular cadence.

  • Collaborate with editorial, research, and product teams to build guidance on Copilot adoption and rollout, including owned and earned articles, playbooks, decks, and customer case studies.

  • Oversee and write thought leadership that communicates clear business value of Copilot features and capabilities, landing messaging for key news moments.

  • Oversee editorial calendar and execution of WorkLab and Work Trend Index marketing assets—including all social assets.

  • Lead “explainer” style and other video projects that communicate product vision and value.

  • Partner with go-to-market teams to create field assets that help shape customer conversations and drive unique product value.

  • Lend writing support across Copilot workstreams—including thought leadership, product, and executive communications writing—as needed.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Affairs, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Journalism, Public Affairs, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Experience leading editorial for a high visibility publication or corporate blog

  • Experience writing social media and other marketing communications, with a proven track record of engagement and growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Affairs, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Affairs, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience

  • World-class business and technology storytelling skills, demonstrated through a portfolio of written work

  • Background in journalism, publishing, public affairs, or other discipline with an emphasis on professional business and technology content

  • Experience collaborating with enterprise leaders for editorial profiles, case studies, keynote videos, and live-stage events

  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex technical concepts into simple, compelling narratives

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive highly visible work forward amid ambiguity and competing stakeholder priorities

  • Ability to collaborate across functions in a highly matrixed organization

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
