The Senior Operations Manager has a significant role in the successful operation of the company. The position is charged with establishing & managing all event operation details. The Senior Operations Manager will have a tremendous amount of interaction and personal involvement with her/his clients, and as such must always represent One World Observatory in a professional, gracious, and knowledgeable manner. The Senior Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations.
Follow up with clients to assess/evaluate catering needs, with a goal of maximizing revenues and generating return/continued business.
Respond to client inquiries with a sense of urgency.
Develop and maintain an informed and well-versed catering team.
Maintain financial records related to the operation of the department and meet required deadlines for reporting to the accounting department.
Arrange required site inspections and meetings with clients on site.
Coordinate and manage clients event rental needs.
Ensure BEO’s are shared on a scheduled basis to ensure event team members have the most recent and up to date event details; F&B details, rental equipment, floor plans, set up and service details.
Maintain open communications and professional relationships with all departments.
Coordinate event staffing needs.
Work directly with event chef to establish his/her kitchen requirements for executing event menu at various offsite locations.
Create/build a team focused on execution of events at the highest level with the utmost attention to detail.

Proven operations experience in an off-premises catering environment
Minimum of five years of proven success in a catering operations role
Knowledge of report development and financial planning
Ability to develop and deliver sound recommendations
Detail oriented working knowledge of local/regional markets, venue operations, and special events industries
In depth knowledge of catering and event operations execution
Proven ability to lead the service team on event day from start to finish
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle stressful situations
Organization and planning skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Ability to delegate effectively
Experience working in high volume luxury events
