To support our North American team, we are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join us. You will be working on exciting infrastructure projects across the Bridge, Marine, and Tunnel market sectors, along with our highly professional team that provides technical expertise, design leadership, project management, and specialized engineering expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for working with multidisciplinary teams and effective management and delivery of your tasks. Click to check out some of our projects!

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and project managers for analysis and design of foundations for bridges, marine structures, and large infrastructure, supporting all project phases.
  • Perform advanced soil-structure interaction, geotechnical, and dynamic analysis using finite element software, and execute geotechnical/structural design.
  • Utilize industry standard software for deep and shallow foundation design, providing recommendations to structural team members.
  • Analyze and design earth retaining structures, conduct slope stability analyses, and determine settlement.
  • Prepare design deliverables, offer detailed geotechnical design recommendations, and ensure quality control validation of calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Implement design best practices, ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements, and conduct site visits and client interactions as needed

On top of that, you will:

  • Hold an M.S. or higher degree in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering from a US-accredited university, with 10+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering, emphasizing foundation design.
  • Possess or be eligible for a Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) within 12 months of employment.
  • Familiarity with US standards and codes (IBC, AASHTO, API, FHWA, NAVFAC, USACE manuals, etc.).
  • Proficiency in soil-structure interaction analysis and engineering designs for deep foundations, including bridges and marine structures, using software like PLAXIS 2D/3D or FLAC.
  • Ability to collaborate with various technical disciplines, including structural engineers, environmental specialists, BIM, and CADD teams.

Base compensation: $100,000 to $150,000 for New York location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location.
