Description

Amazon Advertising seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to directly support the product team in charge of the Video Advertising business, and collaborate with several internal stakeholders across sales, supply, and device teams. This is a fast growth business that is continuously expanding and launching new products and services on a frequent basis.

This role will play a key role in evaluating ambiguous and complex monetization opportunities, designing new or enhance reporting and models that make our data more actionable, developing and communicating business insights through data analytics, and owns reporting functions during the various business review, planning, and forecasting phases in finance.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables; move and adapt quickly to new information or change in strategic direction; can dive deep into data to understand and identify business trends; is detail oriented and has the ability to work well with cross-functional business and finance stakeholders; has strong oral and written communication skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes; can think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with Publisher, sales and Product teams to deliver OP1/OP2 plan.

• Provide strategic support to key business initiatives and investments

• Drive insightful deep dives into our business and present your findings to senior leadership

A day in the life

This role will lead financial consolidation for Video ads working across publisher, sales and FPA team to identify input metrics and lead building coherent narrative to explain business performance. The role will lead month-end-planning, OP1/OP2 planning and MFR processes.

About the team

Amazon Publisher Technology (APM) Finance team supports ads businesses for Devices (e.g. FireTV), Audio, Video (e.g. Twitch, TNF, Freevee), and Store Display as well as Publisher Technology team. These are nascent, high growth and high visibility areas with stakeholders across Advertising, Amazon Music, FireTV, Alexa, and Prime Video. This is a team of builders with a focus on not only creating world class ad products, but also world class consumer experiences. The APM Finance team is designed to be collaborative; although team members have clear ownership of an area(s), success typically involves partnering with others in the broader finance team.m.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

  • Experience working with senior leaders and business partners

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
