About the team

The Enterprise Technology Office Frameworks Team is a highly innovative and creative team focused on accelerating development of high-quality applications across FIS. It is responsible for the development of software and guidelines used across the company and is also responsible for the development of mobile and web applications for FIS employees and customers. We place a lot of value on everyone's ideas and encourage innovative solutions that we share with all internal teams. We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps engineer to help us speed up deployment of our apps on Azure Kubernetes Services, improve their resiliency, automate development tasks and ensure things are working nicely in production.

What you will be doing

  • Build, deploy, manage and monitor applications in cloud platforms like Azure
  • Design, build and implement technical DevOps solutions
  • Develop and maintain deployment automations
  • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines for products
  • Build containerized solutions for products
  • Co-ordinate with infrastructure and network teams

What you bring

  • Proficient analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve problems creatively.
  • Good knowledge of the Azure platform
  • Comfortable managing cloud native databases such as PostgreSQL, CosmosDB etc.
  • Experience in building cloud native infrastructure using Terraform scripts.
  • Experience creating Helm charts.
  • Experience in Azure Gateway & AKS cluster management.
  • Experience in defining security policies for cloud native components.
  • Experience in cloud DNS management.
  • Experience with automating builds, tests and deployments with Jenkins using Groovy
  • Experience working with Microservices Architecture with Docker
  • Experience with ArgoCD (or other similar tool) for automated deployments
  • Experience with configuring security scanning tools like Veracode, SonarQube and BlackDuck.
  • Experience defining deployment rollback strategies.
  • Experience with working with Artifactory
  • Experience managing application servers in production like servlet containers, mongodb
  • Experience with application monitoring tools (App Insights, Microsoft Log Analytics, Prometheus, Splunk or similar tools).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of change and release management principles, procedures and techniques (SDLC, ITIL, CI/CD, DevOps, etc)
  • Experience with Rally or JIRA for project management and SDLC
  • Experience with git and branching strategies
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written is mandatory to be successful in this global environment.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills
  • Strong experience in Shell scripting
