WSP USA Senior Consultant, Structural Engineering in New York, New York

This Opportunity

We are looking for a Structural Engineer (Tunnels) to join our growing Geotechnical and Tunneling Team in New York City .

Your Impact

  • Design and analyze reinforced concrete, steelwork, tunnel linings, subway station framing, and other underground structures

  • Lead structural tasks

  • Guide entry-level engineers

  • Perform field inspection of existing underground structures and new construction

  • Prepare drawings, studies and designs of underground projects

  • Prepare reports and contract documents

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in structural or tunnel engineering practice

  • Strong background in structural analysis, familiar with structural engineering software such as SAP2000, STAAD and spColumn. Familiar with CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation or Revit

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications

  • PE license

  • Master's degree, doctorate or equivalent experience in related field

  • Underground structural experience

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. These benefits include coverage related to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life; retirement savings; paid sick leave; paid vacation (or other personal time); paid parental leave; and paid time off for purposes of bereavement, voting, and/or attendance at naturalization proceedings.

Expected Salary: $119,000 - $130,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
