NYU Langone Health System Senior Associate Director for Clinical Research in New York, New York

The NYU Langone Vaccine Center at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine invites applications for Senior Associate Director for Clinical Research at the Associate Professor or Professor level. The position is for an experienced clinical trialist and leader with a strong expertise in vaccine research. In addition to clinical research ability, experience in one or more of the following areas of vaccine research will be advantageous: preclinical, immunology, virology or microbiology, translational; and/or human behavior relating to vaccine hesitancy. A history of work in novel vaccine platforms, high priority vaccine targets, microbial immunity, and/or vaccine immunology are desirable, among other vaccine research topics. A history of participation in NIH-funded, high priority vaccine programs is desirable. We seek applicants with M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees and an exceptional record of achievement to join theNYU Langone Vaccine Center, whose physician-scientists and basic scientists are engaged in a large portfolio of cutting edge research ().

The successful candidate will join an existing team of vaccine researchers and clinic/laboratory staff, and will work on NIH-, industry-, and internally-funded human research projects relating to vaccines and infectious diseases. There will be opportunity to lead clinical studies and play a senior role in the Vaccine Center and its programs including the NIH/NIAID-funded NYU Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit (VTEU) ( ) and other NIH-funded programs.

Candidates with an M.D. or M.D./PhD degree that are board-certified in adult Infectious Diseases will be given especially strong consideration.
