Senior Associate Data Services

Full-Time

Overview:

The Hospital for Special Surgery Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Development Operations Associate, Data Services to execute fulfillment of ad hoc data requests and reports for the Foundation. This role involves the accurate and timely performance of data delivery projects on behalf of Foundation colleagues. The Senior Associate will apply the highest level of customer service and data management skills to support fundraising initiatives across the Foundation. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Data Services. This position may work remotely up to two days a week; however, must be flexible based upon the business needs of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key customer service point person for data requests from partners within the Development department.

  • Using RE query and Alteryx, produce queries and exports of donor and patient data for mailing lists and prospecting requests.

  • Responsible for documenting changes to data criteria and communicating those changes effectively with colleagues.

  • Using Importomatic, Global Change, and Import, responsible for executing data uploads and data list integrity projects under direction from the Manager, Data Services.

  • Responsible for executing data hygiene tasks that incorporate names, addresses, and salutation formats.

  • Serve as a resource for Raiser’s Edge user support, helping users navigate RE effectively, troubleshooting problems, and escalating issues to the Manager, Data and Technology where required.

  • Assist users to create queries for self-service reporting.

  • Assist in the documentation of team processes and business rules.

  • Contribute to a library of past data requests and criteria to facilitate the speed and accuracy of future requests.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with fundraising applications and databases, preferably in an academic medical center development office or other complex nonprofit environment.

  • Experience with the following systems: The Raiser’s Edge 7/NXT; Luminate Online, and Omatic is strongly preferred.

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Alteryx and/or writing SQL queries is a plus.
