AdTheorent Senior Accountant in New York, New York
AdTheorent is seeking a high performing Senior Accountant to join our Finance team! We are looking for a highly motivated individual who thrives working in a fast-paced, high growth environment and enjoys being a team player.
In this role you will actively support the Company’s Accounting function. This role offers an opportunity to gain direct experience and play a key role in the financial month end process.
While this role is primarily remote, please note you may be required to come into the NY office 1 day per month for an onsite Finance team meeting.
Responsibilities:
Generate customer invoices, credit memos, and issue timely statements
Work closely with Account Managers to ensure accuracy in billing procedures
Assist with company reporting internally and externally
Work with the Technology team to maintain detailed schedules and book entries related to capitalized software
Prepare and maintain certain monthly GL reconciliations and analysis; complete monthly close procedures; compile and post detailed journal entries
Assist with documentation and maintenance of controls for certain cycles, including (but not limited to), financial reporting, accounts receivable, leasing, IT, and equity
Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules, support, and responding to inquiries
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and company policies across functional teams including creation and maintenance of technical accounting memos
Maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets and supporting schedules
Work with external tax consultants to manage tax processes
Conduct detailed financial analysis of data; compile variance analysis reports
Build and maintain relationships with various teams within the company
Maintain flexibility to work on special projects and other duties as needed
Requirements
2-4 years in an Accounting role (prior Big 4 public accounting or large regional firm preferred)
Must be an organized multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Exceptional written and oral communication and reading skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite a must
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
Experience with Salesforce a plus

Compensation range: $90-105K base + 20% bonus potential. We offer full health coverage, generous PTO, great office culture!
The base range provided is AdTheorent’s current assessment for this role. The confirmed salary will be commensurate with experience, education, skills, and other factors.
