Meta Security Engineer - Asset Management in New York, New York

Summary:

Meta Security is looking for a passionate, innovative, and motivated Security Engineer for the Meta Asset Management team. We are the team that empowers Meta Security by using automation and data to model all of our services, applications, code, and infrastructure on a graph, enabling high fidelity insight into where our greatest threats and risks lie. Unleash your technical prowess and elevate our game in the dynamic realm of Meta Asset Management! As a Security Engineer on our vibrant team, dive deep into intriguing challenges from our partners in security, juggle big data like a pro, and devise algorithms for modeling security impact and transitive risk across a massive scale. Here's the fun part: our projects span the entirety of Meta. That means you'll work closely with product teams, industry experts, security partners, and our leadership across our entire portfolio of apps and services.Does the idea of having a meaningful and measurable impact on the security of one of the world's largest infrastructures, which serves billions of people, sound both scary and exciting to you? Required Skills:

Security Engineer - Asset Management Responsibilities:

  1. Develop algorithms to model intrinsic and transitive risk labels for our infrastructure and software. This data is used by security teams across the company to make prioritization decisions

  2. Work with a team of software and security engineers that design, build, and own software solutions that scale high fidelity asset inventory and contextualization.

  3. Implement automation to improve our operational efficiency.

  4. Help define and drive the Meta-wide asset management roadmap.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years experience building and securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software and services

  2. 3+ years of experience in network, system, or software architecture design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and services

  3. Proficiency with at least one scripting or coding language.

  4. Proven understanding in one or more infrastructure domains, e.g. compute, storage, crypto, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience influencing software engineers to build products meant to scale security solutions.

  2. Experience generating automated metrics to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency

  3. Experience making contributions to the security or privacy community (public research, blogging, presentations, etc.)

Public Compensation:

$105,000/year to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
