Citigroup Rewards Control Analyst - AVP in New York, New York

Rewards Control Analyst within Branded Cards Control Team works alongside Product Management & Technology focusing on ensuring our customer's reward earn is aligned with the value proposition and terms and conditions of the product. In addition to executing existing controls, the analyst has a key role in automation of processes and controls. The role demands significant coordination across internal business teams and other support groups within the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execution of controls that mitigate the risk of rewards earn and Branded Cards value propositions not be awarded as promised.

  • Review and action items related to Branded Cards Reward calculations.

  • Perform recalculations, document results and evidence work papers.

  • Complete Merchant Category Codes (MCC) and Company Tag (CTAG) variance analysis

  • Owns and manages a book of work for Branded Cards products with Rewards calculations, file transmissions and associated reject resolution.

  • Analyze reward rejects (including at customer level), determine if rejection is appropriate or if true issue is identified.

  • Raise rewards INC tickets if concern/Issue is identified.

  • Disposition rejects to completion.

  • Document all reviews and decisions.

  • Consults with Product Management and other internal and external teams on the development of new or changed rewards value propositions to ensure customers are earning as expected.

  • Drive strategy for reward process and control enhancements with a strong focus on automation. Work across USPB and Technology to evaluation opportunities to reduce manual aspects. Be curious and motivated to strengthen environment.

  • Assist with building new Reward controls.

  • Partner with other Card business on alignment of risks and controls.
