Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a HR Recruiter in the non-profit industry, based in New York. The role primarily involves administrative and clerical duties related to onboarding and offboarding employees, tracking applicants' onboarding stages, and organizing employee files.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with administrative/clerical duties related to onboarding and offboarding employees, including separation summaries and Department of Labor wage notices.

• Create Employee IDs and track onboarding stages of applicants.

• Regularly update relevant Excel spreadsheets with applicant and employee data.

• Assist with the execution and review of background checks.

• Send documents via Docusign and respond to applicant inquiries in a timely manner.

• Interact with Talent Acquisition and other HR Coordinators, providing backup support when needed.

• Maintain and organize employee files in compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Utilize skills in Onboarding and Filing to ensure smooth HR operations. Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role in human resources

• Familiarity with the entire recruitment lifecycle and variety of hiring processes

• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software and candidate databases

• Strong ability to lead onboarding processes for new hires

• Proficiency in using HR databases and HRIS systems

• Expertise in creating and posting job ads in various portals

• Strong decision-making skills

• Knowledge in employment legislation and regulations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven experience in filing and record keeping

• Ability to handle data with confidentiality

• Strong organizational and time management skills
