This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Rail Project Manager for our New York Area offices. Be involved in projects with our Transportation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. In this role, you will assist in the development of complex project proposals, and as project manager or other key staff on various transit and rail projects.

The selected candidate will have the ability to support and lead transit and rail planning, concept design, environmental review, final design, and design-build projects. The right candidate will need to leverage a strong technical technical background in civil, track, electrification, signals, rolling stock, and railroad operations, and a track record of leading teams for high-quality deliverables on-time and on-budget.

Your Impact

  • Project management on light rail, heavy rail, commuter rail, intercity and freight rail design projects

  • Management support on complex and mega rail projects (any phase of project delivery)

  • Supporting proposal development

  • Mentoring WSP staff, subcontractors, and other partners

  • Supporting key client relationship management and marketing efforts

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of total rail experience

  • At least 8 years of rail design experience

  • Professional Engineer License or equivalent

  • Prior project management experience on passenger and freight rail projects

  • Prior project/package management experience on mega projects in excess of $1B construction value

  • People leadership experience

  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Grade crossing design experience

  • International rail design experience

  • Design-build experience

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $150,000 - $180,000
