Job Title: Project AssistantGrade: 12Salary: $47,475 - $56,735The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Project Assistant position for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department at the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI).The Project Assistant will be involved in the daily operations of the Children's Day Unit and Youth Treatment of Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program. They will conduct telephone screenings to identify eligible youth to receive clinical services in these programs which includes individual, group, and family therapy and participate in the milieu of the day program by co-leading groups and supporting activities in the classroom and gym. They also will provide referrals for youth not able to be seen at the CDU and provide support for clinical staff programming in scheduling didactics and coordinate meetings. Lastly, they may conduct screenings to identify youth who can potentially participate in future research studies evaluating effectiveness of treatments for child and adolescent psychiatric disorders. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with children and families in a clinical setting; be well-organized; have good attention to detail; have excellent interpersonal skills; and must be a team player.
