Meta Privacy Policy Manager, Monetization in New York, New York

Summary:

Meta is hiring a Privacy Policy Manager with expertise in privacy and technology policy issues to join our Monetization Policy team and help us build products, services, and technologies that benefit both people and advertisers globally. The team's mission is to drive convergence between our stakeholders’ expectations and what we build in our ads system. You'll help shape the company's approach to privacy, fairness and other key policy issues across Meta’s monetization products. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, external stakeholders, and cross-functional partners across the company to build privacy and fairness into our monetization products. You'll serve as a subject matter expert for Meta’s global policy team on Meta’s monetization products and the online advertising ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with our teams to evaluate and respond to legislative and regulatory developments, and to engage with external experts on privacy and fairness around the world.A strong candidate will be familiar with privacy and fairness issues related to social media platforms, online advertising and monetization. You should be a self-starter, a team player, and a creative problem solver who is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. You should also have an understanding of and familiarity with stakeholders and perspectives in the privacy community and be able to use your knowledge to promote privacy and fairness in Meta’s monetization products and services.

Required Skills:

Privacy Policy Manager, Monetization Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and provide guidance on the privacy and fairness implications of monetization products, services, and technologies

  2. Work with engineers, product managers, designers, lawyers and others to help interdisciplinary teams build creative solutions to monetization privacy and fairness challenges

  3. Serve as a representative of Meta regarding monetization privacy and fairness issues in external meetings and conferences

  4. Analyze global legislative and regulatory proposals concerning privacy, data security, fairness, and other technology issues

  5. anticipate the direction of travel specifically with regard to monetization

  6. Consult with external privacy experts and other policy stakeholders on how best to ensure that Meta handles data and builds monetization products responsibly

  7. Serve as a subject matter expert on policy issues related to either online advertising and monetization

Minimum Qualifications:

  2. 5+ years of experience with privacy, data security, or technology policy issues

  3. Experience counseling and advising on privacy, data security, or other technology policy issues

  2. Experience working directly with senior business executives

  3. Experience with privacy or technology policy issues, especially in the monetization context

  4. Experience with creating policy analysis and public presentations

  5. Working familiarity with online advertising and monetization of technology products

$123,000/year to $186,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
