The opportunity

We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to own the platform vision and strategy for Firefly Services, an enterprise API offering that enables customers to automate creative workflows with same underlying services powering Adobe Firefly, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, Adobe Premiere, and more - including digital imaging, video, and audio modalities.

As Principal Product Manager for the API platform, you will define the product vision, strategy, and requirements for a holistic API offering that breaks down organizational silos. You will work cross-functionally with product and engineering leaders across Adobe to lead initiatives to 1) optimize our solution for cross-API workflows, including calling APIs in bulk, 2) scale for cross-API feature development for common workflows, including access to common storage, (3) create a scalable approach to releasing new APIs, and (4) driving API signature and taxonomy alignment. Your deep understanding of enterprise API platforms and deep empathy for developers will help drive internal alignment and ensure a delightful and cohesive customer facing developer experience.

What you'll do
  • Set the short and long term API Platform strategy - define the vision, build roadmap, partner with and secure commitments from partner and dependent teams (including DevEx and GTM), and define and own objectives and key results.
  • Identify and address fragmentation across APIs built by different teams, including API signatures and workflows, ensuring a cohesive and unified API offering.
  • Lead efforts to optimize cross-API workflows, including enabling bulk API calls.
  • Drive initiatives to scale cross-API feature development for common workflows, including importing from/export to 3rd party DAMs.
  • Develop platform requirements to implement new business models, including freemium- and credit-based models, API-based limits, and individual- and org-based entitlements.
  • Develop operational plans for prioritization (including resources and recruiting), group priorities, and dependency mapping.
  • Represent the business with customers, partners, executives and at industry events and communicate written and verbal updates on the roadmap and key initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of the evolving market landscape for Generative AI and API-first businesses more broadly, eg Stripe.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Validated technical leadership and experience in identifying and solving broad and sophisticated technical issues for customers.
  • 8+ years in platform product management in an API-first and/or developer-centric business.
  • Proven experience with platform architectures and client/service experiences.
  • A passion for working with developers, learning about new technologies, and evangelizing exciting developer tools.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working directly with tiered customer levels is a plus.
  • A GM attitude, with the ability to context switch across products, projects, and customers and own the outcome.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $146,800 -- $262,100 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
