Google Principal Engineer, AI, Trust, Security Site Reliability Engineering in New York, New York

Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in software development, or 10 years with an advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering

  • Experience in technical leadership and setting technical direction for engineering projects

  • Experience architecting, designing, and developing distributed systems

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing and implementing technical programs in security and/or AI engineering or product/platform design

  • Leadership experience in the security, reliability and resilience space. Experience having impact over a large scale of users

  • Experience leading and implementing engineering projects at an executive level within multinational and distributed organizations

  • Experience partnering and leading by influence, as well as working with stakeholders and collaborating across organizational boundaries

  • Understanding of compute, networking, application stacks, and supporting product features, services, and technologies

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $278,000-$399,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
