The Role

Operations Optimization and Enablement is a newly formed team designed to drive change and implement Operations strategy. If you are a seasoned Project Manager with expertise in ledgers and accounting within the financial services industry, and possess a strong commercial mindset coupled with a focus on control and risk management, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with expertise in ledgers and accounting within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset, coupled with a keen focus on control and risk management. This role will involve managing large, multi-year, and multi-dimensional strategic projects involving diverse stakeholders. The successful candidate will excel in communication, mediation, and consensus-building to drive progress and achieve project objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ledger and Accounting Expertise : Utilize deep knowledge of ledgers and accounting principles within the financial services sector to drive project success. Ensure alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

  • Commercial Focus : Maintain a strong commercial mindset throughout project planning and execution. Drive initiatives to optimize financial performance, enhance revenue generation, and mitigate operational risks.

  • Control and Risk Management : Implement robust control and risk management frameworks to mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard project outcomes.

  • Strategic Project Management : Lead large, multi-year, and multi-dimensional strategic projects from initiation to completion. Develop comprehensive project plans, establish key milestones, and monitor progress against objectives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with diverse stakeholders across the organization to gain consensus and drive project progress. Effectively communicate project goals, status updates, and key milestones to ensure alignment and support.

  • Communication and Mediation : Serve as a bridge between different groups and stakeholders, facilitating communication, mediating conflicts, and driving collaboration. Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability to achieve project success.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CPA) preferred.

  • 8-10 years of extensive experience in project management within the financial services industry, with a focus on ledgers, accounting, and financial systems.

  • Strong understanding of control and risk management principles, with a track record of implementing effective frameworks to mitigate project risks.

  • Proven ability to manage large, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, teams, and vendors. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and mediation skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse groups towards common objectives.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and drive innovative solutions to achieve project goals.

  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and driving results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
