The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

The Nurse Manager position is responsible for assisting in the management of the delivery of patient care for an ENT provider. In addition, the Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing ENT exam rooms to ensure efficiency in the delivery of care and maintenance of all medical equipment. Certified Medical Assistants in ENT will be direct reports.

Responsibilities

Clinical RN Duties:

  • Assist Physicians with assessment, evaluation and management of patient care of patients.
  • Communicate all clinical activity to supervising Physician.
  • Reports to supervising Physician, assists in surgical procedures
  • Prepare, dilute, draw up medication as needed for use in the faculty practice and Resident clinic
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during patient examinations, surgical procedures, and diagnostic testing of patients.
  • Observes, records, and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed.
  • Provides back up support for ENT medical procedures in both faculty practices and Resident ENT clinic.
  • Assess patients using all available physical and diagnostic data, incorporating medical history and evaluate patient status and progress with current plan of care.
  • Follow up on laboratory and pathology results, answering pre- and post-procedural questions, answering questions relevant to patient treatment plans, order lab tests and medication under the guidance of the physician.
  • Manages Epic message pools for General ENT.

Manager Duties:

  • Review current set up and standardize ENT exam rooms for efficiency and goal to utilize all space seamlessly across all specialties.
  • Work closely with CMA supervisor to ensure all medical equipment is up to date, in working order and scheduled for maintenance as needed.
  • Work closely with CMA supervisor and leads to maximize room usage during office hours.
  • Manages and evaluates MA performance and attendance.
  • Onboard new clinical staff hires.
  • Work closely with Practice Administrator to support patient care care initiatives and clinical workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with ENT NP team to maximize clinical workflow.
  • Inventory management.
  • Special projects/expansion of practice.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing and or equivalent in education and experience, plus 4 years of related experience.

Other Requirements

  • Current RN license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multicultural and language-deficit patients.
  • Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to adapt to a growing and changing environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
