The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.

The Municipal Client Financing team is made up of a group of experienced municipal market professionals focused on providing exceptional marketing, structuring and execution services to the full complement of domestic and international investor clients.

Within this multi-faceted group, the Associate will concentrate on providing analytical and operational support for product offerings, as well as, developing and marketing existing and new financing strategies.

Qualified Associate candidates will benefit from unique exposure to the municipal market through the sales and trading business and structured products activities. This includes the marketing and execution of transactions and the development of new structured products. Candidates will work closely with investor clients, internal risk functions, sales, trading, underwriting, and other capital markets professionals.

As an Associate in the on the Client Financing Team, /you will:/

§ Prepare and execute live transactions, including crafting presentation material, driving in-depth analytics, and performing pre/post transaction diligence and monitoring

§ Provide the analytical and quantitative support necessary to administer and operate existing client financing platform

§ Maintain transaction models and conduct interest rate/credit analysis

§ Conduct capacity and affordability analysis

§ Research and analyze market data to share insights with clients

§ Field and respond to client inquiries

Qualifications - External

§ Minimum 3 years of experience in fixed income products, interest rate derivatives, and/or credit derivatives preferred.

§ Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with programming languages such as Python and VBA are a plus.

§ Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

§ Curious, inquisitive, collaborative, attention to detail, analytical, self-starting, team-oriented.

§ Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and simultaneously manage multiple high priority projects.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year for Associate at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
