Job Description

Performs all around building maintenance including, but not limited to, ceilings, fixing floors and walls, hanging pictures, bulletin boards, and decorations, and installing bathroom accessories, medical equipment, and television brackets.

Job Responsibility

  • Repairs, replaces and installs ceiling tiles, grids, hangers, black iron, etc.

  • Repairs holes in sheetrock, plaster, brick, concrete block, pyro block, terracotta, glazed block etc walls as required.

  • Repairs/ replaces/ installs flooring (vinyl tile, sheet goods, terrazzo, resin matrix, carpet).

  • Repairs/ replaces/ installs wall base.

  • Hangs pictures, paper towel holders, sharps dispensers, soap dispensers etc.

  • Maintains cleanliness of work area both before and after task completion.

  • Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Completion of appropriate trade school, preferred.

  • Certificate for use of Power Actuated Fastener, preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience involving all phases of construction and maintenance including ability to plaster.

  • Knowledge of all forms of power and hand tools including but not limited to drill, jack hammer, saws (both hand and power), and powder actuated fastener, required.

  • Ability to plaster (both new and patch), put up sheetrock, spackle, flash patch, lay flooring and install and repair ceilings, required.

The salary range for this position is $34.83-$38.03/hour
