Organizational

The Competitive Intelligence Team – Local, provides advertising intelligence that yields insights resulting in a marketplace advantage for a major client. Our goal is to use this data to provide actionable insights that inform strategy and investment.

Individual:

We are looking for a Manager, Competitive Intelligence, to serve as the primary contact for competitive reporting and contextualizing. The ideal candidate will have a background in strategic planning, an in-depth understanding of the media market, and an expertise in competitive tools. This person will play a crucial role in our Competitive team, demonstrating strong teamwork, delegation skills, and the ability to extract insights from competitive data.

Responsibilities

Individual:

  • Lead the creation of innovative reports, ensuring they are tailored to our clients' unique business needs.

  • Present and competently defend data analysis on a regular basis.

  • Proficiently use Excel and PowerPoint and demonstrate a willingness to learn new software and innovate with existing tools.

  • Showcase strong writing and public speaking skills, effectively conveying insights and recommendations.

  • Work independently and collaboratively, adapting to the needs of the team.

  • Research, interpret, and evaluate marketing and research data to develop impactful media objectives and strategies.

Organizational:

• Write and present research analysis and understand media plans.

• Communicate with clients, and other agency departments.

• Foster internal/agency communications and relationships.

Team:

• Train competitive associates in a variety of required systems and processes.

• Encourage creativity and pro-activity of competitive team.

• Supervise workflow to guarantee timely delivery of projects.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience in media research, planning, or account management.

• Telecom experience not necessary but would be a plus.

• Proficient across all channels (print, TV, radio, interactive, OOH).

• Have solid command of industry research and trends.

• Organized, detail oriented. Expects excellence and accuracy.

• Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen, Kantar Software, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, Comscore, Google Analytics

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $81,500 - $95,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
