This position is remote. However, candidates may be required on occasion to visit the local office when/if needed. Candidates can be located in cities including Chicago, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Tampa, Miami, Boston, New York, Washington DC, Palo Alto, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, or Seattle offices.

As a member of the firm’s Communications, Marketing and Business Development team, the Communications Manager (PR) promotes the firm’s activity and initiatives across offices and practice groups in a variety of ways, including media relations, press releases, and podcasts.

This role is part of a collaborative and talented team of professionals that take an all-hands-on-deck approach to meeting goals. We offer the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects each day.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing related field

  • 8 years’ experience in communications, public relations, or similar field

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required to interact with all levels of staff on a regular basis

  • Must be a self-starting, team player

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the law firm environment

  • PR agency and/or journalism background

What will your day look like?

In this role, you will join a dynamic team of PR professionals in overseeing strategic media relations, including reporter outreach and story pitching, crafting and distributing press releases on notable work, collaborating with attorneys to identify newsworthy trends and issues within their practice, offering media training and support, and producing the firm's flagship podcast, among other initiatives.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The expected annual pay range for this position, if hired to work in New York City is $113,632 - $169,033 per year. If hired to work in San Francisco or Palo Alto the expected annual pay range is $118,573 - $176,383 per year. If hired to work in Los Angeles, San Diego, or Seattle the expected annual pay range is $108,692 - $161,684 per year. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
