Leveraged Finance, Credit Risk Quality Control- Vice President

The Quality - COO Vice President position operates within the CIB First Line of Defense (FloD) to develop, manage and execute the CIB Credit Risk Management Quality Control (Credit QC) programs. The VP will be responsible for conducting periodic reviews of global CIB clients to ensure adherence to internal credit standards and regulatory expectations. Periodic reviews will require (1) assessing that credit facility approval conditions were met prior to closing, (2) reviewing the consistency of facility legal documentation with approved terms and conditions, and (3) evaluating the data integrity of the portfolio on systems of record. In addition, the VP will be responsible for reporting and socializing quality control results (findings and recommendations) to senior management. The team member will contribute to the CIB Control Testing program acting as a partner, as necessary, guiding stakeholders in their adherence with risk management practices. The VP will partner with the CIB Credit Professionals, Credit Risk Managers and CIB Issues Management on issues management identification and remediation. FLoD Operational Risk and Compliance testing may be required as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree; Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Economics or equivalent field preferred

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Credit Risk Management, Credit Risk Review or other credit risk functions covering Corporate and Institutional clients. Experience covering Leveraged Loans strongly preferred.

  • Experience with debt leverage metrics, covenant protections, and financial modeling.

  • Strong understanding of credit fundamentals.

  • Previous experience with RCSA a plus

  • Ability to build credibility with and collaborate with line of business executives.

  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external service providers.

  • Ability to constructively work both independently and in collaborative environments with peers, and senior stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting and/or leading risk projects across multiple business lines offering a wide variety of financial services products and services.

  • Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $110,000-$155,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
