Archstone Builders Legal Compliance Specialist in NEW YORK, New York

Consult with legal counsel and identify and report to management on compliance matters. Monitor, research and analyze current local, city, state and federal laws and regulations for compliance by company and keep abreast of any changes that require modification of construction methods or procedures. Review, track and maintain company records to ensure compliance with city, state and federal documentation compliance requirements. Draft and review project contracts and agreements for legal counsel’s and/or management’s review and approval, and resolve any ambiguities of contract terms and conditions and mitigate risks and liabilities ahead of construction. Analyze and interpret provisions in contracts and confer with legal counsel as issues arise during the course of a project. Review and determine with legal counsel what methods of dispute resolution are available under law and contract in dispute situations. Liaise, coordinate and assist legal counsel in pursuing any legal actions on behalf of the company. Prepare and file applications for permits and licenses with government agencies..Requirements:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or First Professional Degree in Law (LL.B.);6 months of experience as Legal Intern, or Legal Compliance Specialist or Officer; 6 months of experience researching and analyzing city and state building codes and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations; 6 months of experience drafting and analyzing construction contracts, and tracking and maintaining company records to ensure compliance with city, state and federal requirements; 6 months of experience preparing and filing applications and reports with government agencies to obtain permits, licenses and certificates.

Minimum Salary: 105,000 Maximum Salary: 115,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
