MasterCard International Incorporated Lead Software Engineer in New York, New York

Position Duties: Develop Java based applications using Spring boot and Micro-Services architecture in Cloud based environment. Work closely with product owners, engineers and architects to drive design solutions and take the solutions to the team for implementation. Define features, elaborate user stories and acceptance criteria and story point, estimates in a SAFe/Agile methodology format. Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency with automations. Drive blameless postmortems culture to identify root causes of incidents and implement learnings, mentor more junior employees. Aid in creating prototype designs for components of applications or projects, and writes complex documentation (such as pseudo code, test plans and scripts).Job Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Systems Analyst or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience. Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: Java, Software architecture design, Cloud technologies. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
