How you'll make an impact:

The IT Asset Manager for the IT Experience Engineering team will partner with the End User Support and Endpoint Engineering teams to lead the planning, budgeting, procurement, and management throughout the lifecycle of the devices of all company provided end user hardware, including laptops, desktops, monitors, docks, mobile devices, and other peripherals. This position is critical in fostering hardware asset management best practices across the end user support teams. The IT Asset Manager will work closely with our vendors and resellers to ensure consistent and cost competitive end user hardware that will meet our end users needs throughout the planned lifetime of the equipment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing the hardware assets for a large enterprise or enterprises and have a clear understanding of vendor management.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of hardware assets from procurement, distribution, and reclamation utilizing discovery tools as well as bar code and asset tag scanning.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for inventory of all assets and relevant information.
  • Rollout, streamline, and standardize asset management practices and processes to ensure inventory accuracy, reduce inefficiencies and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Work closely with engineering and application administration teams to develop, integrate with, and implement automated systems for tracking, monitoring, and managing IT assets using tools like ServiceNow, JAMF, and Intune.
  • Drive savings through better inventory accuracy, optimized asset utilization, and proactive maintenance schedules.
  • Work closely with endpoint engineering and user support teams to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Work closely with ITXE leadership to provide forecasting and plan for annual budgeting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to secure the best prices and products in a timely manner.
  • While this role will initially focus on end user hardware asset management, knowledge and experience implementing processes for other hardware categories, like servers and networking equipment, and software asset management is also beneficial.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience managing IT assets, budgeting, and purchasing in a large organization
  • Expertise in asset management tools and software, with a focus on ServiceNow, JAMF, and Intune
  • Experience in purchasing processes with vendors and familiarity with systems like Apple DEP and Windows Autopilot
  • Technical acumen to effectively engage with endpoint engineering and end user support teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate at all organizational levels
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $117,000 to $166,050.00 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
