Humanscale Design Studio is the creative force that drives Humanscale, the leading manufacturer of ergonomic products for the workplace. Our passion is designing products that combine uncompromising function and honest aesthetics with ultimate ease-of-use.

We seek an exceptional individual to join the team as a Design Intern focusing on new product development. The successful applicant must possess a background in industrial design, an analytical and creative mind, a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment, and an outstanding work ethic.


Responsibilities



  • Engage in brainstorm sessions with design and engineering teams.
  • Conduct competitive market, technological and user research and provide summary reports.
  • Create presentation renderings from digital models.
  • Research and evaluate manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.
  • Assist in the construction of prototypes, and 3D form exploration through various media.
  • Assist in development of assembly instruction, user manuals,


Qualifications


  • Completion of at least 3 years of a industrial design degree from an accredited institution
  • Ability to generate solutions that optimize aesthetics, usability, and functionality.
  • Experience using 3-D modeling software such as Solidworks
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic knowledge of common manufacturing processes
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences through various media, including;
  • Clear and concise language
  • Drawing skills
  • Digital image manipulation
  • Clear and professional emails

Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 p/h
