Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking an analytical individual to join our NY Real Estate Office. This role will be responsible for the preparation and support of monthly operational financial reports for commercial real estate construction projects and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reports. Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for collaborating with the wider business in the aggregation of financial information to assist in the documentation, review, and communication.
*A minimum of three days working out of the NYC office is required.
Duties Include:
Set up and maintain contract / projects on the Financial Management System – Dynamics (charge rates, project forecasts, forecast spread)
Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting reviews with Project Directors / Leadership team
Explain invoiced values against forecast values and budget variances
Maintaining up to date data (opportunities, forecasts, invoicing, POs) within Dynamics 365
Reviewing and analyzing utilisation data from Dynamics 365
Responsible for reconciliation checks across financial data to omit errors to improve report accuracy
Responsible for the monthly invoices and billing reports on key accounts
Management and collation of client timesheets to support invoicing on key accounts
Responsible for the monthly finance report to the external client on key accounts
Dealing first hand with financial queries from operational staff
Management of Interco agreements and Interco Purchase orders as well as Subcontractor PO’s
Management of internal financial transfers, invoicing and agreements
Management of contractor costs
Undertake monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and margin reviews
Support for the Credit Control team
Provision of data for reports and audits
Respond to requests for information on profitability
Support leadership teams in providing Finance related messages and confidence to the business
Key Attributes
Quantitative skills – understanding and manipulating numbers and data
Strong Excel Skills (including Sumif, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, and Graphs)
Working knowledge of D365 preferable but not essential
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organization and time management
Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
Flexible and responsive attitude
Working knowledge of PowerBI preferable but not essential
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working within an accountancy/finance-based position
Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and management
Understanding of GAAP financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information.
Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $60K-$80K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
